Amed
The area that is called Amed is much larger then the village it self. There is a very nice wall just outside Jemeluk Bay. Here you will see stingrays, lionfish and scorpion fish. Napoleon wrasses and bump head parrotfish are likely to be seen here.

Jemeluk Bay

The bay has suffered from the warming from El Niño in 1998. Now you already can see that the reef is beginning to recover. The bay is perfect for beginners and especially for photographers a paradise. Night diving here is a must!

Lipah Bay
In Lipah bay lies a small freighter. The freighter is 20 meters long and lies in about 6 meters depth. That make this location also interesting for snorkelers. Here you find scorpion fish, ghost pipefish, seahorses, hard and soft corals and gorgonian's.

This famous wreck, US Liberty is a cargo ship from the II world ware. The ship with a length of 120 meters is in the water since 1963. The maximum depth is 30 meters and can easily be reached from the beach. The ship is almost completely covered with hard and soft corals. There are different kinds of fish and a large field of garden eels.

Drop-off
The drop-off is an other famous place for diving. The main wall is formed by three coral covered lava spurs. The wall drops to 70 meters. At 30 meters is a beautiful large gorgonian.

Batu Kelebit

This place is next the Drop-off and can be reached by boot. The location is 'famous' for the big fish. Occasionally you will see here hammerhead sharks, black and white tip sharks. Napoleon bump heads are also frequent visitors here.

This is considered to be one of the most difficult places in Bali for diving. Plan your dive well and be prepared to cancel the dive or choose a different location. Famous is the canyon with its dramatic rocks. This location is also called 'the toilet '. Don't try to find out why!

Mimpang
|
Mimpang can only be reached by boot. The diving here can be very challenging. Strong currents and colder water are quite common here, but so are sharks, mantas and mola-molas.

Padang Bai
The bay is surrounded by cliffs and hills. In the bay is a harbor where the ferry for Lombok leaves every hour. Just outside the bay is an other small relative protected area. The water temperature in and around Padang Bai is usually lower then anywhere else on Bali.

This island is famous for it's crystal clear water with very healthy coral and a fish life as you will have seldom seen. The whole north coast is a suitable for diving. Here you will find the 'big' fish, mola-mola and big sharks but also currents with 3 or 4 knots.

Gamat Bay A bay half way Toyapakeh Strait with a depth of 15 meters. The location is perfect for photographers. On the outside of the bay are small caves that usually offer shelter to white tip sharks or turtles.

Malibu Point

This place on the east coast of Nusa Penida is the place to be if you want to see sharks, mola-mola's and manta rays. The current can be very strong so make sure that you are good prepared!
